23rd Annual MLK Jr. Walk-a-thon

Dr. King’s Legacy Matters

Join us for the 23rd Annual Walk-a-thon 5k Walk. Registration is from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. 

The walk starts at 10 a.m. at the Stratton Center. We will proceed to White Park by way of the King monument in downtown Riverside. After the walk a program will run from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. with Michael Moore, Riverside Fire Chief, John Russo, Esq., Riverside City Manager, Tamica Smith-Jones, UCR Athletic Director, and Maya El Jawhari, Youth Council President. Thank you for your participation!

Your registration fee goes to support:

  • the ongoing work of the Riverside African-American Historical Society
  • the Riverside Civil Rights Institute
  • The Clarke Scholarship
  • Grier College scholarships
  • upkeep on the Martin Luther King, Jr. statue

By registering, you agree to the following waiver:

I hereby release RAAHS, Inc. and the MLK Monument Visionaries, the City of Riverside, the Riverside Downtown Partnership, government agencies, co-sponsoring companies and/or individuals from responsibility for any injuries or damages I may suffer as a result of my participation in this walk-a-thon. I am in good condition and am able to safely compete in this event. I will additionally permit the use of my name and pictures in broadcasts, telecasts, newspapers, brochures, etc. and I also understand that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. As a participating walker, I certify that all information provided in this entry is true and complete. I have read the entry information provided and certify my compliance with this purchase.
