This award is to honor those individuals/organizations that have set the pace of excellence in the African American Inland Empire Community.
Criteria for Nominees
- Nominee is an individual or organization that has made a positive difference in the lives of others by the service rendered, measured by the success of those who have benefitted from such service.
- Nominee has made significant contributions that have impacted the community in a positive manner and has established a volunteer legacy of service that will be honored and revered.
- Nominee is a respected long-term community advocate and has not received, nor sought recognition for such service.
- These uncelebrated heroes have given of their time and energy untiringly and unconditionally for the betterment of their neighborhood, community and society in general.
Nominees may be recognized for their service in the following categories: Education – Religion – Community advocate – Humanitarian – Sports – Medical – Government/Civic – Entertainment.
